Robert Kilcullen, PhD

Co-Founder

Dr. Kilcullen is a Co-Founder of HRT and Senior Researcher at the U.S. Army Research Institute. Dr. Kilcullen is one of the world’s foremost experts on test development for personnel assessment and selection. He has over 20 years of experience with developing and scientifically validating psychological tests that are strong predictors of pro athlete performance and criminal behavior. He has developed sports-specific tests for assessing National Football League (NFL), National Basketball Association (NBA), National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) prospects. 

Dr. Kilcullen also has over 30 years of experience with developing and validating tests that predict performance and career continuance in a variety of U.S. Army positions, including Army Strategists, senior Army advisors to foreign governments, and Army Special Operations Forces. 

Dr. Kilcullen holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from George Mason University.  He has authored over 30 scientific articles and has made numerous presentations at scientific conferences.  He is a recipient of the Department of the Army’s Research and Development Achievement Award and the George Mason University Department of Psychology’s Distinguished Alumni Award.
